Eye Care for Children
When I Grow Up I want to be…
A Pilot, A Teacher, A Surgeon…
1 in 5 children in the UK have an undetected eye condition which could prevent them from achieving their dream…
Regular Eye Examinations are Essential for All Children
Normal eyesight in children is critical to their educational and social development. Regular eye examinations from an early age (3 onwards but can be done earlier if there are any concerns) are vital to ensure eye conditions such as short sight, long sight, astigmatism, squints and lazy eyes do not go undetected. Common symptoms to look out for which suggest that your child is having visual problems are:
- Difficulty concentrating, sitting close to the TV, holding a book very closely
- Blinking or rubbing eyes
- A turning eye – either in or out, constantly or intermittently
At Perspective, our Optometrists have a specialist interest in paediatric eye care and our practice provides a comfortable, child-friendly environment. We have nurtured close links with local hospitals and schools. Your Child’s Sight Will be in Safe Hands with Us.
Frames for Children
We have a great range of Children’s Frames. Our Optometrist and Dispensing Team will ensure your child’s glasses are comfortable to wear and perform well in the rough and tumble. Thinner, lighter, impact-resistant, UV coated lenses are always recommended.
